More New Friends and the Trip Home

The MOST BEAUTIFUL BABY IN THE WORLD (ok...so I'm a bit partial)So Monday brought an opportunity to rest and recover. We enjoyed resting together and an occasional visitor.

My best friend John Mays stopped by to hold Caitlyn (and bring dinner)....He appears to have recovered nicely from his role in our labor from Saturday.

Chris Brown, one of my friends and the band director at Kimbrough MS, stopped by to see Caitlyn.

Our stay at the hospital was just about up; we really enjoyed Plano Presby. The rooms were comfortable and the staff helpful and kind. By Tuesday morning, it was time to make our way home. We were showered with gifts and flowers. Caitlyn was a popular young lady!

Tuesday morning we saw the doctors one more time and prepared to brave the outdoors for the first time with Caitlyn. Tuesday morning also meant Caitlyn having her picture taken prior to our departure. Here are a few of our favorites...




Next they cut Caitlyn's Lo-Jack off of her leg (if tried to take her too close to the exits or in an elevator, it would sounds an alarm, lock the doors and stop the elevators. Pretty cool...after that, I loaded her up in the car seat and then they pushed her and Bethany to the exit...I was excited, but a bit apprehensive about having her in the outside world without the help and security of the hospital.Home at last..............
Tomorrow brings lots of new adventures, like the first pediatrician visit and Caitlyn's very own Baby Tanning Bed.
