The Couple Shower to end all Couple Showers!!

Well, I guess since it has only been four weeks since my last post that I'm doing better than the first time around! Things have been fast and furious around here. We (and you guys know what that means) finally decided upon a crib set for the baby's room.

I think it looks really nice and it wasn't TOO hard to put together. I only had to return it once! The room is really starting to take shape. I just can't wait until I get to start putting together all of the other baby stuff...

We also had the Couples' Baby Shower to end all Couples' Baby Showers with Steve and Bonnye Kath and Scott and Sandra Coulson. I was quite hesitant to begin with, but it was (I admit reluctantly) a really GREAT time. We were able to catch up with many of our friends from Poteet that we unfortunately don't see NEARLY enough any more! We were also able to watch the TU game in HD (but there is no correlation between this and my enjoyment of the party)! We got a million new things for the baby -- many of which I already know how to use or at least know what they are to be used for -- this came as quite a surprise to many of those watching as we open gifts....

Well, so many new things still await us. I would talk about them, but frankly I'm not sure what they are (please don't laugh so loud). Every time I innocently mention that I really don't know what we are in store for, I love the little chuckle/sneer that you seasoned parents are always so generous to shell out. :) We have TWO more showers this weekend -- I don't GET to attend either but I'm sure they'll be great fun. Probably a good thing that I'm not invited, I just can't see anything good coming from attempting to guess how many pieces of toilet paper it would take to wrap around a woman's stomach....

I figure that since I neglect this for weeks at a time, I should give you a large dose of everything that is going on, so...

Bethany and I also went on vacation last weekend. We had an awesome time staying at the Richardson Hotel, watching the Vocal Majority (even if they do end every song the same way, they are still pretty awesome), and eating at Kirby's steakhouse.

Here is my dinner from Kirby's, I've never seen a better steak (it tasted awesome too)...

Well, I better let it go for now...Hope all is well in your world. Even if you don't read this...I like writing messages to the voices in my head and pretending that they are actually people in the real world who read this.

I think the final picture speaks for itself....

What can I say....Steve LOVES his pink M & Ms if you know what I mean.

Though I stopped checking your blog everyday because you don't post that often, know that we are still checking and reading it! I am looking forward to Bethany's shower this weekend. It should be fun. Kevin and I still have no clue what we are getting into each day. There is always something new and exciting that happens. Your going to be great parents!!

Bethany, you don't even look pregnant! I am so jealous... Jeff, I love your blog and I am glad that you FINALLY posted something. I, too, have those voices inside my head. Love, Natalie

How long must the pink M&M picture stay up there?! Did they really have to be pink?

Not that there's ANYTHING wrong with that...

Speaking of fast and furious, you guys just hang in there. Pretty soon all the stress and sleepless nights will be history and you'll be coasting downhill with only the midnight feedings and occasional spit up on your shirt as you head out the door for school to deal with :)
