Making new friends...
So Sunday morning brought many folks eager to meet our precious little angel. First up was, of course, MiMi and Grandpa Jones.
Then we had the chance to visit with our good friends from Denison, Matt and Beth Hanley. Matt and Beth were our cheerleaders throughout the entire nine months, and it was fun to have them finally meet Caitlyn in person. They are expecting a little boy in March and Beth is looking better and better every day! If you want to read all about her adventure, you can visit her blog by clicking here.
After the Hanley's, mom and baby caught a quick nap prior to the arrival of Candice and Cody Newman. Cody is one of the directors at Poteet. We had the pleasure of working together last fall. We had a great visit, and Cody was a good sport throughout! :)
Next up, the Kaths. Steve (you might remember him from the infamous PINK M&M incident of 06), Bonnye, and the boys...Jonathan and David weren't quite sure what to think of the whole deal (don't worry boys, I'm not completely sure myself--but I'm getting the hang of it...) Steve and Bonnye looked right at home holding little CR--great practice for next summer! We're looking forward to meeting their new addition as well.
They will make GREAT big brothers!!!
We closed out the day with our dear friends Scott and Sandra Coulson. Scott is my mentor and we worked together at PHS for six years. I think Sandra likes me because I share birthday with her son (unfortunately for me, its not the birth YEAR....) Needless to say, Caitlyn Renee was a BIG hit...
I'm told (although I do NOT believe it) that this photo is proof of the SECOND child that SC has ever held. If it is true, I am impressed and amazed...And, I think she likes him!
Its hard to believe that at this point, she was still less that 18 hours old. Every day has been an adventure. Thanks for taking time to share our moments with me. Can't wait until you hold her and we add your picture here....JD
